Tangy North Indian version of idlis with a twist by using Pav
Bhaji Masala.
Ingredients:
10 – 12 small leftover idlis, cut into cubes
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp black salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste
Coriander for garnishing
Method:
- Heat the oil and butter together, add the onions and fry till they soften.
- Add the tomatoes, ginger and turmeric powder and cook till the oil separates.
- Add the black salt, pao bhaji masala, salt and lemon juice and mix together.
- Toss in the idlis, mix well and cook for few minutes till masala coats over idlis.
- Serve hot garnished with the coriander.
